Jersey Shore meets Florence Italy
The rumors are true…Jersey Shore cast mates have finally signed contracts to go to Florence Italy this May to tape the fourth (and possibly last) season of The Jersey Shore. Is this a good decision or bad one? After seeing their shenanigans in Seaside and Miami, you can only imagine that they would have a field day in Florence. Although these guidos and guidettes are more than excited about their international adventure, there is one person who is definitely not…the Mayor of Florence. Despite the fact that the filming will bring more publicity, and therefore tourists and money into the city of Florence, he has set the follow set of rules that must be followed throughout the taping period:
1. Cameras will not be allowed to tape the Jersey Shore cast while drinking inside bars or clubs
2. There will be no drinking allowed on film at all (including Sunday dinners, lunch at a cafe or otherwise)
3. The show must be used to promote Florence’s Food and Culture, and must NOT promote Florence as a drinking town.
I’m extremely interested to see how many of these rules stick, and better yet, how the brilliant producers of the show find a way to get around them…I predict an episode where they even plot to beat up the mayor of Florence. Lets face it, there’s only so much GTL you can do before you seriously need a drink!
