Attention Deficit Disorder is one of those things I just really can’t get my head around. I mean, I’m sure its one of those things that some people have, but most don’t. It’s like when you see a really fat person and “they can’t help it”…really what they can’t help is putting the tub of ice cream down (I’ll have to get into that one at a later date). Back to ADD…have you noticed that when we were kids you NEVER heard about it. Maybe like 1 kid in your whole class had ADD, and they were kind of the outcast and did weird shit like turn their desk over in the middle of class or pee their pants on the bus in third grade. Nowadays its like 2 out of 3 kids have ADD or ADHD (which just makes it sound even more pathetic). It’s like if a kid can’t sit still for 5 minutes the parent takes them to the doctor to get them on some meds. What I really feel like saying to these assholes is “Oh, your kid is really hyper, has a ton of energy, can’t focus on one task for more than a few minutes and won’t sit still? He’s a 5 year old boy!! Tell him to go outside and build a fort or something! That’s how kids are freaking supposed to be!!” But instead, everyone is just sedating their kids so they won’t have to actually parent or play with them and so that they have enough time to sit on their fat-american asses and watch tv. In the end, the joke is really on the parents because one day when the kid is old enough to realize that they don’t actually have ADD, they will still have the prescription and be able to make a ton of money selling their precious meds to college kids everywhere that believe with the help of that one little pill they can pass the class they’ve skipped all semester…Sorry, but it’s the truth.
